Azam Marine is the water transport division of Bakhresa Group, a popular historical FMCG company based in Tanzania and working across Africa. Azam Marine offers daily commutes to and from Dar-es-salaam, Zanzibar, Pemba, and Tanga.
The company’s fleet of vessels is revolutionary to Tanzania’s water transport. From the online ticketing system, and the modern interiors, to the latest communication and navigation equipment on board: Azam Marine guarantees class, safety, and excellent services.
Founded by Mr. Said Salim Bakhresa, one of Tanzanian’s most dynamic contemporary businessmen, Azam Marine’s goal is to offer international standard marine transport to Tanzanian travelers, international tourists, and businessmen.
While he thinks internationally Mr. Bakhresa retains a deep loyalty to his home of Zanzibar.
“It is not just the year-round reliable weather, the beaches, the history, architecture, and culture. It is the people that are true in their hearts.”
-Mr. Said Salim Bakhresa.
With Azam Marine and Kilimanjaro Fast Ferries, the goal goes beyond giving tourists easy access to Zanzibar as one of the world’s most exotic tourism destinations. The goal is to reflect the hospitality of the natives, and make the ride an unforgettable experience.
