General Booking Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Azam Marine Co Ltd General Booking Terms and Conditions. For purposes of this agreement, “Site” refers to the Company’s website, which can be accessed at https://azammarine.com. “Service” refers to the Company’s services accessed via the Site, in which users can book their Ferry Tickets. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company. “You” refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service. “Partner” refers to the Payment Services Providers.
The company is based in Opposite St. Joseph Cathedral, Sokoine Drive, P.O. Box 2517, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with company registration number Z0000004025.
Acceptance of the General Conditions of Use
- By accessing or using the Service, You signify your agreement to these Terms of Use. If You do not agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety, You may not access or use the Service.
- Azam Marine has the right to amend or renew the transaction terms relating to the use of the Website at any time, without the obligation to inform the user thereof. Any modified version of the terms posted, completely replaces every previous version.
- If the user does not accept one or more of these terms they must not make a purchase of any of the services provided and abstain from the use of the Website, which are governed by these terms. Otherwise, it is presumed that the terms are accepted by the individual user.
Conditions of Access and Use of the Service
- The access to and use of the services provided through the Websites requires and internet connection.
- Users of the service must be at least 18 years of age and if acting on behalf of third parties, be duly authorized.
- Purchasing the services provided through the Websites, requires the disclosure of certain personal information and data of the user. You accept and authorize the Azam Marine to collect, use and where deemed appropriate to forward information that is regarded as necessary for the successful completion of the service to the Payment Service Provider and any other third parties [In accordance with the Privacy Assurance Clause].
- You are required to report at the ferry terminal at least one(1) hour before departure. For delayed Boarding/Check In no refund will be given out.
- In case of ticket loss, you are required to report to the customer service counter for immediate assistance.
- We will not be responsible for the damage/loss of luggages that have not been paid for.
- Passengers who have lost/found an object shall inform the Cabin Crews/Reception during the voyage.
- Persons under the age of 18 years are not allowed to travel without parents guidance or on their own.
- For safety reasons, all passengers together with their luggages must be checked before boarding. Persons who refuse to comply shall not be allowed on Board and necessary procedures to report to the local port authorities will be taken.
- Passengers must present to the authorized personnel of the vessel their ticket, passports, identity cards or other valid travel documents.
Reservation Procedure
- When booking or purchasing the service, you must imperatively follow the information entry process as reflected by the booking engine on the Website.
- The data entered during the reservation must be true and complete.
- In order to complete a reservation and purchase the service, you have to pay the final and total cost of the chosen service, as defined by the booking engine.

We are sure that our client details are safe and well protected. We shall ensure the protection of your security and privacy, using the latest available technology ensuring you that we are one of the safest websites.
- This implies that all payments made through our website are processed by our Partner’s services, meaning that your credit card details and mobile payment details are only seen by the Partner and are not stored in any form.
- Azam Marine does not see or hold your credit card details or mobile payment details at any stage during the transaction to ensure you have the most available security and peace of mind.

- Digital Certification with SSL 128-bit encryption environment, provided by GeoTrust for the secure transmission of sensitive credit card data entered by the cardholder
- Security check of the Card Verification Value (CVV2)
Refund Conditions
- No refund will be given out for delayed boarding/check in.
- In the event we could not provide the service/voyage at the expected time, we will be liable to offer one of the two (2) options:
- A full refund for the amount of ticket
- To provide the service in the same class as per booking on the next available ferry and within 24 hours from the booked voyage.
Cancelation Conditions
- A passenger can amend his journey up to one (12) hour prior to departure time. No amendment/cancellation can be done after.
- In the event a passenger wishes to cancel his trip after having boarded the vessel due to emergency must inform Cabin Crews immediately for necessary procedures.
